Ohio bureau to hold work injuries congress

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation will be holding its annual conference later this month. The bureau handles workers' compensation claims in the state along with the Ohio Industrial Commission. The organization intends to welcome various industry experts to talk about workplace accidents and how to deal with them.  The bureau's administrator said a big part of the Ohio Safety Congress and Expo is listening to the general speakers share their insight on workplace safety. He also stated that these experts are at the forefront of developing measures to prevent workplace injuries.

At the upcoming expo, a U.S soldier is expected to share his experience on surviving a grenade attack. He is expected to highlight the importance of safety equipment, training and teamwork in keeping workplaces safe. While you are entitled to compensation for work injuries, prevention is always the best option. Following safety guidelines can keep workers from getting hurt.

Demonstrations will also take place during the event. Workshops on the sector’s best practices have been planned. Several classes are also scheduled to take place. The exhibition is expected to attract various players in the workplace safety business including industrial suppliers, safety equipment providers, workers’ compensation professionals and medical practitioners.

Employers in Ohio are legally mandated to do their best to prevent workplace injuries. They should stay informed of the latest developments in workplace safety to better meet this obligation. The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation believes the congress to be the largest regional safety and health conference in the country. It attracts thousands of visitors every year.
