Oxygen tank explodes, injuring two workers

Accidents happen in the workplace all the time. Sometimes they are caused by other negligent employees and sometimes they are caused by an unfortunate set of circumstances that were unforeseeable. Because of this risk of injury, employers carry insurance so that if their employees are injured on the job they will be taken care of appropriately. Two injured workers will be happy to have such coverage.

Recently, two sanitation workers were injured when an oxygen take that had been thrown away exploded. One of the workers suffered severe burns on his eyes while the other was hit in the face by debris. These workplace injuries may leave the men unable to work for a while and may make life, both physically and financially, difficult. These workers, who have so much to deal with physically, owe it to themselves to find the compensation they need and deserve.

When workplace accidents occur, an injured worker can seek workers' compensation or disability benefits. The process can be complicated, especially if an employer or an employer's insurance tries to deny the worker's claim. If this happens, the injured individual should seek legal advice from an attorney who will find a way to fight for his rights.

Successfully obtaining these benefits could mean the difference between reaching a full recovery and moving on with life and being left permanently disabled and having difficulty paying for rent, groceries, and other necessities. With so much on the line, a successful attorney will fight to prove the accident truly was an accident that arose out of the worker's employment. Then, the worker will be able to pay off medical expenses and focus on getting back to work. These cases can be difficult for an injured worker, but an experienced attorney can help walk him through the process and determine the case's chance of success.
